2026 Week 10 (Dakotas)

Week 10 was not what I thought it was going to be. I knew I was going to be in eastern South Dakota, but South Dakota presented a problem. The playoffs for the smaller schools, and final week of the season for the larger schools, are entirely played on Thursdays.

Which was fine, as I would be in South Dakota. But that would be it. Another week with just one game. There were two All-Nations games taking place in far southwestern South Dakota. Add to that, North Dakota’s playoffs had started for its smaller schools. Class 1A and 9-Man both play on Saturday afternoon. While, 2A and 3A had Thursday or Friday night games. 2022 Week 5 (South Dakota)

My second weekend away from home took my back to a familiar place. North Dakota. However, there was just the simple matter of getting there. And I had a group of games in mind. In South Dakota, there was two doubleheaders at Northern State University in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen is a city I’ve been to many times in the past. One of those towns that’s deceptively large. Located in north central South Dakota, I’ve seen several Hub City Hotshots games in the old Expedition League. But, never a high school game in town.
