2026 Week 0 (Georgia & Florida)
The 2026 Season seemed to be so far away and suddenly it was the next day. With the way the schedules worked out, Georgia’s season started with four games before the rest of the state. Because of the World Cup, the schedule at Mercedes-Benz Stadium had been quite restrictive. The venue hosts the Falcons and the Atlanta United FC MLS team. The 2025 season seemed to sneak up on me. A lot has happened this off-season. And it feels like I barely had time to plan things out. But once again, I was on my way to Georgia for the Corky Kell-Dave Hunter Classic.

For the second straight year, my football odyssey started in Georgia. Getting there, though, was a bit of an adventure. Traveling with my daughter, we had things planned out for some fun on the way. 2021 Week 0 (Georgia)
The offseason wasn’t nearly as long as I thought it’d be. Though I wasn’t wrong on the dates, it still seemed to fly by. I did do a bit of work related travel. Saw a few baseball games along the way. Including games in Willmar, Minnesota and Spearfish, South Dakota. And I had considered once again starting my season in Utah. However, some personal reasons made me want to pass up a Utah/North Dakota split weekend for a trip with my daughter. I had been in between North Dakota, Minnesota, and Texas since mid-June.
