2025 Year In Review

I saw the fewest games in a season in several years. Just 82 overall. But they were some of the best games and a lot of fun along the way. I found myself in Montana a lot. As well as seeing state championships in three new states. One being Montana, and the other two were weekends in Wyoming and Oklahoma. 2025 Week 17 (Oklahoma)

Week 17 was the first half of a two weekend trip to close out the season. I had considered covering the PIAA Championships in Mechanicsburg. However, with pass limitations I let some more local photographers take up sideline positions.

At first, I was going to go to North Carolina. And that way I could see at least six games. UNC was hosting two doubleheaders on Thursday and Friday. While two different locations had doubleheaders on Saturday. Continue reading “2025 Week 17 (Oklahoma)”

2025 Week 13 (Wyoming)

I had planned to be in Colorado this weekend for games. But an opportunity presented itself to me that I couldn’t really pass up. Saturday games in Colorado were going to be quite far from Fort Collins where I was at. However, five games for the Wyoming State Championships were just over an hour northwest in Laramie. And seeing the Wyoming state titles have long been on my list of postseason plans. So, it was settled.

2025 Week 12 (North Dakota)

I didn’t expect to be back in North Dakota. In fact, if I had been in North Dakota this weekend. It was state semifinal weekend, and there weren’t a lot of games to choose from. And it was going to be cold. Now, I started the week in Eastern Montana, and there were a few games there I was interested in. But, I was going to be in North Dakota and the drive back-and-forth wasn’t worth it for what would be the same number of games, if that.
